Air Astana Adopts AI-Based Pricing Analysis Platform

Kazakhstan’s largest airline group, Air Astana, has begun using AirGain, a pricing analysis platform developed by India-based technology company RateGain, to strengthen its revenue management strategy.
The AI-powered system not only tracks ticket prices across competing airlines, online travel agencies, and booking platforms, but also identifies market trends and anomalies, enabling a rapid response to shifts in demand.
Erbolat Baysalykhov, Air Astana’s Senior Vice President of Revenue Management and Commercial Planning, said about the partnership:
“Our collaboration with RateGain and the deployment of the AirGain platform will allow our teams to access accurate, real-time data, enabling faster and better-informed decision-making. This step will contribute to strengthening our revenue management strategy as we continue to expand our global network.”
In the first half of 2025, the Air Astana Group expanded operations by launching 20 new routes. As of today, the group operates flights to 38 domestic and 91 international destinations, aiming to grow not only in Central Asia and the South Caucasus but also in major markets such as China and India. Strategic partnerships with local airlines are also under consideration.
The group includes full-service carrier Air Astana as well as low-cost carrier FlyArystan. Similarly, Kyrgyzstan-based TezJet Airlines also adopted the AirGain platform earlier this year.
